Bungalow FAQ
What’s the wifi password?
Warrior2 for all Oasis Yoga connections.
When is breakfast and where’s the coffee?
We serve breakfast all day, but our full-service breakfast buffet is 7am - 10:30 am daily. You’ll find complimentary French Press espresso coffee at our water and coffee station in the restaurant. Please feel free to help yourself to French Press coffee until noon. After 12:00 pm there is instant coffee provided in your room or you can go to the cafe and let our barista Bee make you your favorite.
Can I drink the tap water?
We do not recommend it! But we do want you to be hydrated so we offer unlimited free drinking water. In your room, you’ll find reusable water bottles to refill during your stay. The refill station is located in the restaurant, please help yourself.
In fact, Oasis manages a reusable water bottle program for the whole island so there are many restaurants and businesses that you can refill your bottle for free. Please ask when you’re around as reducing plastic is critically important for the island and something care a lot about.
What towels do I use?
You’ll find two colored towels in the room. One set of gray towels for the shower and one set of red towels for the pool and beach. We have provided you with many hooks and hangers and ask you to be considerate of the environment by reusing towels as much as possible. If you need a fresh set, please feel free to ask the front desk or leave the towel on the floor during cleaning to indicate you need a fresh one. Hanging towels won’t be exchanged by the cleaning team.
Can I flush the toilet paper down the toilet?
Please don’t! Plumbing on the island is quite sensitive. We ask you to always use the bin for everything.
What’s with this soap?
Your holistic health is important to us, so all of the soap, shampoo, and conditioner in your room are all natural products free of chemicals.
What’s that noise?
Welcome to the jungle! Mosquitoes, monkeys, and lizards are part of life here. We recommend using protection against the mosquitoes. Lizards do their part to help out so consider them in and around your room as a good thing! It’s not uncommon to hear a monkey on the roof or to see a monitor lizard run by. If you notice something you are uncomfortable with, let us know and we can safely remove or relocate any unwelcome visitors. If you’d like an added mosquito net to your room, please let us know and we’d be happy to set one up.
Speaking of Mosquitos…
If you would like a mosquito net to be added to your room, that can be arranged. Please stop by the front desk and we have the staff hang one above your bed.
When will you clean the bungalow?
It’s up to you! We offer two types of cleaning QUICK CLEAN and FULL CLEAN, You’ll see a sign in your room, just hang it out on your porch to indicate what type of cleaning you need. You will notice a hook at the step’s railing to place the sign. Please hang your sign out before 2:00 p.m. to give our staff ample time.
Quick Clean: remove trash, make the bed, bathroom tidy up, and restock toilet paper. Only towels on the floor will be changed.
Full Clean: complete room clean and change all the bed sheets. Only towels on the floor will be changed.
When is the checkout?
Check-out is at 11 a.m. If you need a late checkout, please ask Nok or Gib at the front desk and they can check our availability for late checkouts.
What should I do if the power goes out?
In your room you’ll find a “mosquito racket” (looks like a tennis racket). Check the bamboo box to find it. It also doubles as a flashlight. Typically we do not lose power, but if we do please know we are doing our best to resolve the problem as we all live on the property and are eager to fix these issues quickly when they do come up.
Speaking of Power usage
We kindly ask you to understand that it’s an island with limited resources. Please be environmentally mindful during your stay by turning the a/c off when you leave your bungalow. It cools back down rather quickly. Keeping the bathroom door closed will keep your room cooler as well.
Can I have food in my room?
Of course, you can! However, it’s the jungle so please be mindful not to leave any amount of food sitting out or you will attract ants faster than you can even imagine. To avoid this please return dirty dishes to the dish pit by the water refill station or leave them on your steps for our staff to take care of.
At Oasis, we strive to be as eco-friendly and sustainable as possible. So you can sleep better at night knowing that we compost all food waste and recycle as much as possible. The island doesn’t have the capabilities to recycle much and it’s all shipped off the island so using less plastic is always best.
How do I sign up for yoga classes?
You don’t need to. Just show up! As guests of Oasis, you get to enjoy 20% discount on all classes. The schedule changes weekly so check it out at the cafe, front desk, or in the studio at the back. We provide everything you need. There are detailed class descriptions on our yoga page so you can find the class that suits you. If you’re new to yoga there’s no reason to be nervous, Farra will take good care of you!!!
At times we have groups using the studio outside of the times listed on the schedule. So if you prefer to do your own personal practice the hammock house is a good location.
What do I do in case of an emergency?
Hopefully, your stay is incident free but sometimes shit happens. Please save Nok’s Whatsapp number +66 062 897 5999 in case you’re off the property and need to get in touch with us. Or if you need to call after hours.
At night, the last staff member working is always the bartender so you can go ask Sandy for assistance. If the bar is closed already, you’ll find emergency numbers and a house phone at the front desk.
If you, the bungalow or your loved one is literally on fire, the owners live above the restaurant and you can wake them up.
